The Challenge
SAP, a global market-leading software and technology company with over 110,000 employees across 78 countries, faced the daunting task of attracting top talent in an intensely competitive global employment market. Although SAP was able to previously generate 12% of its hires through employee referrals, it became clear that their existing solution, SAP SuccessFactors, was not fully capitalizing on the potential of this approach. The aim was to increase the referral hiring rate to 20%. To meet their increased hiring needs, SAP partnered with Radancy to explore practical strategies for sourcing highly qualified candidates and enabling referrals from anywhere.
The Solution
SAP was looking for a digital and automated employee referral solution that could seamlessly integrate into their talent attraction strategy. The chosen provider needed to meet the following essential criteria:
- Proven experience with SAP SuccessFactors and capability for seamless integration
- Deep expertise in recruiting, particularly in referral-based talent acquisition
- Ability to form a strong, collaborative partnership
- Support for making referrals easily, even on the go
The Radancy Talent Acquisition Cloud met these criteria and SAP implemented Employee Referrals globally because of our innovative referral technology and expertise. Various stakeholders were involved in this process, including technical support, data protection and security teams, recruiting teams and the works council. Through close collaboration with these teams and pilot projects in the UK, China and the USA, SAP was able to identify and address potential challenges and focus areas with our integrated platform. By October 2021, only six months after starting implementation, Employee Referrals was available in all SAP locations.
The Results
Within a few months of its launch, Radancy’s Employee Referrals program at SAP proved to be a significant contributor to their talent attraction strategy.
